As an experienced athlete and coach, I have spent years completing some of the toughest mountain running and trail running races, ultramarathons and triathlons on the planet, including Ultra Trail Du Mont Blanc, Celtman Xtreme Triathlon, Swissman Xtreme Triathlon and Swedeman Xtreme Triathlon. I have competed in multiple Ironman triathlons and as an accomplished trail and mountain runner, I’ve competed in Skyrunning extreme races and ultramathons, like the 120km Lavaredo Ultra Trail in the Italian Dolomites.
Having trained for some of the most gruelling races on the circuit, I learnt how to fit training plans around work and a busy life, finding ways to get the most out of sessions by analysing my data, varying workouts and constantly improving schedules to drive my own performance - both as a coach and athlete, whether that is for trail running and mountain running races or triathlons.
I’ve brought this knowledge into my professional coaching, framing training plans and packages around the individual’s fitness level, availability to train, and adapting my coaching methodologies to maximise training results for each client. My approach centres on a learn and adjust method, analysing performance data to take the guess work out of training.
As an IRONMAN certified coach, accredited with Training Peaks, English Athletics and British Cycling, I work with athletes at all levels, from those training for a 10km personal best to bespoke coaching for ultra marathon runners.
My coaching advice has been featured in Trail Running Magazine, Outdoor Fitness and TrainingPeaks. My article on UTMB featured in the 2019 Athlete Choice Awards.
I hold the TrainingPeaks Power Certification qualification and make use of the latest analytic software for athletes using power data, such as WKO5 and BestBikeSplit.
